Perfecting the Kettlebell Swing
The kettlebell swing is one of the fundamental kettlebell movements that improves endurance and mobility, burns loads of fat, builds your muscles and helps in correcting your posture. Considering the multifarious benefit it offers, it is imperative that you make the swing an integral part of your Shanghai kettlebell courses. However, as with all kettlebell movements, correct form and technique is of great importance. You should know the perfect way of doing the swing as you will be going through this pattern in several other workouts too.

There are several reasons why the swing is considered one of the best workouts for toning the body and preparing it better for more complex workouts.

How to Begin with Kettlebell Swings
If you are new to kettlebell certification Shanghai, you must first select the weight that is just right for you. Always start with a lighter weight if you have never done kettlebell swings before. You can increase the weight gradually as you master the technique and form. And it is always best to begin your Shanghai kettlebell courses under a certified trainer so that you learn the correct technique and form.
Doing the Swing Correctly
Once you have selected the right weight kettlebell you are comfortable with; it’s time to learn how to do the swing correctly.
Begin by doing a hip hinge. This is a position in which you thrust your hips backwards with the butt pointed slightly upward. Your feet should be placed beyond shoulder width with feet point outward. Shoulders should always be kept retracted in order to maintain a straight spine. You may bend the knees slightly to feel comfortable.
Next grip the kettlebell with both hands and position them between your legs. Now push them slightly backward between your legs and then with a powerful thrust of your hips push the kettlebell outward and upward. Keep arms straight throughout the movement and the kettlebell away from your body. At its topmost position, the kettlebell should be at your eye-level and positioned slightly in the forward direction.
Now lower your arms and absorb the weight of the kettlebell as it follows the same direction in reverse position till it is between your legs. Repeat movement pattern immediately for a total ballistic workout that will strengthen your body throughout and increase your muscular endurance.
