Kettlebell training is great fun if you are performing the exercises correctly. Here are the three great exercises you’ll learn at our Melbourne kettlebell course.

1) Kettlebell Clean & Press

The kettlebell clean and press is a fantastic exercise to work the upper muscles of the back and the deltoids. This compound exercise will hit multiple muscles making it a great bang for buck exercise. Remember, to keep the hand and elbow positioned tight towards the body when in the rack position with the kettlebell placed between your forearm and shoulder.

2) Kettlebell Swings

These are ideal for those who want to work on their back, shoulders, and core. It is an excellent exercise because it builds functional strength. The goal of this movement is to take the weight and swing it between your legs. You will start by swinging it under your legs and back up in front of your face with the use of your shoulders. Keep it controlled, so you don’t end up getting hurt. The kettlebell instructor course Melbourne will show you how to perform this exercise with perfect technique.

3) Kettlebell Goblet Squat

What about your legs? These can be targeted with a well-controlled goblet squat. The kettlebell is going to be pressed against your chest with both hands. You will spread your legs with both feet on the ground while keeping them an inch or two outside shoulders width apart. You are going to squat down in this position without moving your back. The goal is to align the spine with the direction of your movement. Don’t swing the kettlebell! It should remain pressed against the chest from start to finish. You are going to aim to bring your bottom past parallel. These are the three kettlebell exercises you are going to want to try immediately.
